It’s a great recognition for EBI Electric: STIQ is organizing a plant tour and a Lean workshop right here in our Saint‑Georges facility, as part of its Podium manufacturier program.

On April 28, 2026, executives and managers from Quebec manufacturing companies will visit EBI Electric to discover:
a hands‑on workshop on the Lean (PVA) approach structured into 14 principles;
a guided tour of our EBI Electric facilities;
our day‑to‑day reality as a manufacturer specialized in industrial electrical solutions, MCCs, and high‑temperature motors.
A STIQ x EBI Electric Event Focused on Manufacturing Performance
The event is organized by STIQ, in collaboration with Lean Expert and EBI Electric, exclusively for manufacturing companies.
Agenda:
8:30 a.m. – Welcome and networking breakfast
9:00 a.m. – Welcome remarks and introductions
9:30 a.m. – Workshop: “Lean (PVA) approach structured into 14 principles”
10:30 a.m. – Guided tour of EBI Electric’s facilities
12:00 p.m. – End of event and networking
The Lean workshop will be led by Hugo Poulin, President of Lean Expert, an experienced consultant in continuous improvement. He will present the Lean (PVA) methodology inspired by the Toyota Production System and the “Toyota Way,” structured into 14 principles grouped into four main sections.
EBI Electric: Over 75 Years of Industrial Electrical Solutions
STIQ introduces EBI Electric as an expert in industrial electrical solutions since 1946. Based in Saint‑Georges, our team:
designs and manufactures Motor Control Centers (MCCs);
builds, repairs, and upgrades high‑temperature motors;
provides repair and modernization services for critical industrial equipment.

For more than 75 years, we’ve been helping manufacturing companies improve the reliability, performance, and modernization of their electrical installations. This STIQ visit confirms our role as an on‑the‑ground partner for plants that want to upgrade both their equipment and their management practices in maintenance and electrical installation.
Our MCC Manufacturing Shop
During the guided tour, participants will have access to our MCC manufacturing shop. This is where we design, wire, and test custom Motor Control Centers for customers in Quebec, across Canada, and in the United States.
A few key features of our MCC shop:
Custom manufacturing: every MCC is tailored to the customer’s reality (number of motors, starting methods, space constraints, internal standards, industrial network, etc.).
Full integration: we integrate not only starters and protection devices, but also automation (PLC, I/O, networks such as EtherNet/IP or Modbus TCP) and operator interfaces.
Strict quality control: all MCCs are wired and tested in our shop before shipment, then certified according to CSA standards, and UL when required.
Lean culture: visual management, standardized work, optimized flow, and active employee involvement all contribute to MCCs that are reliable, well documented, and delivered within competitive lead times.
Participants will see, very concretely, how a Lean philosophy is reflected in the final product: workstation organization, wiring methods, component traceability, and MCC project management.
Our High‑Temperature Motor Shop: Manufacturing, Repair, and Upgrades
EBI Electric also stands out thanks to its specialized shop for batch kiln motors or high‑temperature class H electric motors. These motors are at the heart of many processes (sawmills, lumber drying, thermal processes, etc.) and are often critical for production.

In this shop, we:
manufacture kiln motors designed to withstand demanding environments;
repair and rewind damaged motors, improving their performance and reliability when needed;
upgrade existing equipment to extend its service life and secure our customers’ operations.
Here again, our Lean mindset and structured approach are reflected in:
the standardization of rewinding and assembly methods;
quality management and test‑bench procedures;
full traceability of all work performed on each motor.
Why This STIQ Visit Matters for Us and for Our Customers
Being chosen as the host plant for a STIQ event with the support of Lean Expert is a strong vote of confidence in:
our manufacturing maturity;
our commitment to continuous improvement;
our role as a local manufacturer able to deliver complete industrial electrical solutions.
For our current and future customers, this visit is a tangible demonstration that:
EBI Electric is not just a wiring shop, but a strategic partner for your MCCs, kiln motors, and critical electrical equipment;
our company culture is aligned with performance, quality, and collaboration;
we invest in Lean practices and people development, which translates into projects that are more reliable and better executed.
An Event Focused on the Manufacturing Community
This event is reserved exclusively for manufacturing companies and includes a key networking moment over breakfast.
Participants will be able to:
exchange with other leaders and managers about their challenges in efficiency, quality, and workforce;
get inspired by the 14 principles of the Lean (PVA) approach presented by Lean Expert;
leave with practical ideas they can apply in their own plants;
discover how a manufacturer like EBI Electric applies these concepts in its MCC and high‑temperature motor shops.

Note: 50% of the event’s profits will be donated to an organization chosen by EBI Electric – a concrete way to give back to the community.
In Conclusion
The EBI Electric plant tour organized by STIQ is more than just an event – it’s a window into how we build, improve, and collaborate.
You’ll see how we apply a structured Lean approach in our shops.
You’ll discover our MCC manufacturing shop and our high‑temperature motor shop, two core pillars of our industrial offering.
You’ll have the chance to talk directly with our team and with other manufacturers committed to continuous improvement.
If you are part of a manufacturing company and the performance of your equipment and processes is a priority, this event is a great opportunity to see EBI Electric from the inside. ⚡
